Last Updated: August 11, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of AboutLeaders.com and your purchase or use of products, programs, courses, training, coaching, materials, and other services offered by Dr. Mary Kay, Inc., doing business as About Leaders (“About Leaders,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Please read these Terms carefully.
By accessing or using AboutLeaders.com, creating an account, registering for a program, purchasing a product or service, or otherwise indicating your acceptance of these Terms, you agree to be bound by them.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the website or purchase or access our products or services.
1. About Leaders
About Leaders provides leadership development and professional education for individuals, managers, executives, teams, and organizations.
Our offerings may include:
Ultimate Leader On-Demand programs;
live online leadership training;
onsite leadership training;
leadership retreats;
executive coaching;
educational courses;
assessments;
downloadable materials;
articles and educational resources;
demonstrations and consultations; and
related leadership-development products and services.
Specific products or services may be subject to additional written terms, proposals, order forms, statements of work, licensing agreements, or program requirements.
If additional written terms conflict with these Terms, the more specific written terms will govern with respect to the applicable product or service.
2. Eligibility
You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use paid services or make purchases from About Leaders.
Our professional leadership programs are generally intended for adults.
If you use our services on behalf of a company, employer, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to the applicable agreement.
3. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in:
our website;
products or services;
technology;
business practices;
applicable laws; or
regulatory requirements.
When we update these Terms, we will revise the Last Updated date at the top of this page.
Changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise required by law.
If a material change affects an existing paid service, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.
Your continued use of the website after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
4. Website Use
About Leaders grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use AboutLeaders.com for lawful personal or internal business purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You agree not to use the website in a manner that:
violates applicable law;
infringes another person's intellectual property or privacy rights;
attempts to gain unauthorized access to the website, accounts, servers, or systems;
disrupts or interferes with website operation or security;
introduces viruses, malware, malicious code, or harmful technology;
uses automated systems to scrape, harvest, crawl, or extract content without authorization;
attempts to circumvent technical access controls;
impersonates another person or organization;
uses our website for fraud or deception; or
otherwise interferes with another person's use of the website.
We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the website, our users, our intellectual property, or our business.
5. Accounts and Credentials
Certain products or services may require an account.
You are responsible for:
providing accurate account information;
maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password;
securing devices used to access your account; and
activity occurring through your account where reasonably attributable to your credentials.
You may not share, sell, sublicense, transfer, or otherwise provide your individual account credentials to another person unless About Leaders has expressly authorized such use.
If you believe your account has been accessed without authorization, contact:
We may suspend or disable an account if we reasonably believe it has been compromised, shared without authorization, used fraudulently, or used in violation of these Terms.
6. Purchases
When you purchase a product, program, or service from About Leaders, you agree to:
provide accurate billing and contact information;
use a valid and authorized payment method;
pay all charges disclosed to you before completing the purchase; and
comply with any additional terms disclosed for the product or service.
Prices are shown in the currency identified at checkout.
Applicable taxes may be added where required.
We may correct pricing, typographical, or technical errors before fulfilling an order. If an error materially affects a completed purchase, we will provide an appropriate remedy as required by law.
A purchase is not considered complete until payment has been successfully authorized or otherwise accepted by us.
7. Electronic Transactions
You agree that transactions with About Leaders may be conducted electronically.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, electronic acceptance of these Terms, checkout selections, account actions, electronic communications, and electronic records may have the same legal effect as paper records and handwritten signatures.
You are responsible for maintaining a valid email address so that we can provide transaction confirmations and other important communications.
8. Ultimate Leader On-Demand and Digital Course Access
When you purchase an individual On-Demand course or other digital program, you receive a limited license to access and use the purchased materials in accordance with the terms presented at the time of purchase.
Unless otherwise expressly stated in writing:
access is for the registered purchaser or specifically licensed participant;
account credentials may not be shared;
course videos may not be downloaded unless a download feature is expressly provided;
program content may not be recorded, copied, reproduced, distributed, republished, resold, sublicensed, or publicly displayed;
course materials may not be uploaded to shared drives, learning platforms, artificial-intelligence systems, file-sharing services, or other repositories for use by unauthorized persons;
a single-user purchase does not grant an organization-wide license; and
access may be suspended for unauthorized copying, redistribution, credential sharing, or other material violations of these Terms.
The duration of course access, if limited, will be disclosed on the applicable product or checkout page.
If the applicable offer states that access is provided for a specific period, your right to access the program ends when that period expires.
9. Organizational and Team Purchases
When an organization purchases training or program access for multiple participants, use is limited to the number of seats, participants, locations, or other licensing scope included in the applicable purchase, proposal, or agreement.
An organization may not:
exceed the number of licensed users;
provide course access to unlicensed participants;
duplicate materials for broader internal distribution;
upload proprietary training content to an internal learning management system unless specifically licensed to do so;
record live programs without written authorization; or
resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute About Leaders materials.
Additional organizational licensing terms may be included in a proposal, order form, statement of work, or separate agreement.
10. Live Training, Retreats, and Coaching
Live online programs, onsite programs, retreats, coaching engagements, and customized organizational services may be governed by additional written terms concerning:
scheduling;
participant numbers;
travel;
venue requirements;
cancellations;
rescheduling;
deposits;
payment schedules;
confidentiality;
intellectual property; and
other engagement-specific matters.
Those terms will control where they differ from these general Terms.
About Leaders may reasonably reschedule a program because of illness, emergency, weather, travel disruption, force majeure, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
When appropriate, we may offer a replacement date, alternative delivery method, credit, or other reasonable solution.
11. Payments
You authorize About Leaders and its payment processors to charge the payment method you provide for the amount disclosed at checkout or otherwise agreed in writing.
If a payment fails after access to a product or service has been provided, we may:
request another payment method;
suspend access;
cancel unpaid services; or
take reasonable steps to collect an undisputed amount lawfully due.
You agree not to initiate a payment dispute or chargeback for a legitimate charge without first making a reasonable effort to contact us to resolve the issue.
Nothing in this section limits rights provided by applicable payment-card or consumer-protection law.
12. Refunds and the 30-Day Guarantee
Unless a product page, proposal, checkout page, or written agreement states otherwise, About Leaders offers a 30-day refund or credit for eligible content purchases.
To request a refund, contact:
The request must be submitted within 30 days of the applicable purchase unless a different refund period was expressly offered.
After the applicable refund period expires, purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where About Leaders agrees otherwise in writing.
Certain services may have different cancellation or refund terms, including:
live training;
executive coaching;
customized organizational programs;
retreats;
services requiring advance scheduling;
travel-related expenses;
deposits;
licensed team access; and
other customized engagements.
Any different refund or cancellation terms will be disclosed before purchase or included in the applicable agreement.
Refunds are generally issued to the original payment method where reasonably possible.
13. Recurring Charges and Subscriptions
If About Leaders offers a subscription, membership, automatic renewal, payment plan with recurring charges, or similar recurring arrangement, the specific billing terms will be disclosed before you complete the purchase.
Those terms may include:
amount charged;
billing frequency;
duration;
renewal terms;
cancellation procedure; and
when cancellation takes effect.
Where required by applicable law, we will obtain the required authorization before initiating recurring charges and provide an appropriate method to cancel future recurring charges.
Unless a product is specifically described as recurring, purchasing a one-time product does not authorize About Leaders to convert it into a recurring subscription.
14. Promotions, Discounts, and Coupon Codes
About Leaders may occasionally offer promotional prices, coupon codes, bonuses, or limited-time offers.
Unless otherwise stated:
promotions cannot be combined;
promotions have no cash value;
promotional pricing may be subject to eligibility requirements;
offers may expire;
promotions may apply only to new purchases; and
discounts generally cannot be applied retroactively to previously completed purchases.
We may cancel a promotion affected by fraud, abuse, technical errors, or unauthorized distribution.
15. Intellectual Property
The website and the original materials provided by About Leaders are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.
Unless otherwise indicated, applicable content and intellectual property are owned by or licensed to Dr. Mary Kay, Inc.
This may include:
course videos;
workbooks;
presentations;
graphics;
assessments;
exercises;
frameworks;
articles;
written materials;
audio;
photographs;
software;
logos;
program names; and
other original content.
About Leaders®, Ultimate Leader®, and Dr. Mary Kay® are trademarks of Dr. Mary Kay, Inc. to the extent protected under applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.
16. Permitted Use of Materials
Unless a broader license is expressly provided, materials are licensed for your individual educational use or the internal use expressly covered by your organizational purchase.
You may download or print materials only when that functionality is provided or when we expressly permit it.
You may not, without prior written authorization:
copy substantial portions of our programs;
reproduce training materials for others;
distribute or publish our materials;
sell or license our content;
create competing courses substantially derived from our materials;
remove copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices;
make recordings of courses, coaching, or training;
publicly perform or display our training materials; or
use our materials in a manner that suggests sponsorship or endorsement by About Leaders.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights provided by applicable copyright law, including lawful fair use.
17. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Systems
Unless About Leaders expressly authorizes it, you may not use proprietary course materials, workbooks, assessments, videos, transcripts, coaching content, or other non-public About Leaders materials to:
train or fine-tune artificial-intelligence models;
create machine-learning datasets;
populate commercial knowledge bases;
generate substantially derivative commercial training products; or
make proprietary content available to third parties through an AI or automated system.
This restriction does not prohibit ordinary personal use of general-purpose technology where our proprietary materials are not stored, redistributed, used for model training, or made available to unauthorized persons.
18. User-Submitted Content
If you voluntarily submit content to About Leaders, such as:
a testimonial;
review;
photograph;
feedback;
comment;
case study information; or
other material intended for publication,
you retain any ownership rights you already have in that content.
When you expressly authorize us to publish the content, you grant About Leaders a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, format, and publish it for the authorized purpose.
We will not treat ordinary private customer communications, coaching communications, support requests, or information submitted through private forms as public content merely because you sent them to us.
Our handling of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
19. Testimonials and Reviews
You may provide truthful feedback concerning your experience with About Leaders.
You agree not to knowingly submit:
false reviews;
fabricated testimonials;
content impersonating another person;
defamatory statements;
confidential information belonging to another person or organization; or
content that infringes another party's rights.
We may decline to publish or may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
Publication of a review does not transfer ownership of the underlying review to About Leaders except for the license you authorize for its use.
20. Copyright Complaints and DMCA Notices
About Leaders respects the intellectual-property rights of others.
If you believe content on AboutLeaders.com infringes a copyright you own or control, you may submit a written notice containing the information required under applicable copyright law.
The notice should include, as applicable:
identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
identification and location of the allegedly infringing material;
your contact information;
a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or law;
a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the copyright owner; and
your physical or electronic signature.
Notices may be directed to About Leaders using the contact information listed at the end of these Terms.
Nothing in this section should be interpreted as representing that About Leaders qualifies for a particular statutory safe harbor unless all applicable legal requirements have been satisfied.
21. Third-Party Websites and Services
AboutLeaders.com may contain links to third-party websites, tools, applications, platforms, or services.
Third parties operate independently from About Leaders.
We do not control and are not responsible for their:
content;
availability;
security;
privacy practices;
products;
services;
representations; or
business practices.
The inclusion of a link does not necessarily constitute an endorsement, sponsorship, or partnership.
Your use of third-party services is governed by the applicable third party's terms and policies.
22. Educational Nature of Our Content
About Leaders provides leadership education and professional development.
Our content is not a substitute for individualized:
legal advice;
financial advice;
tax advice;
accounting advice;
medical or mental-health care;
employment-law advice; or
other regulated professional services.
Please review our Disclaimer for additional information.
23. No Guarantee of Results
About Leaders does not guarantee any specific leadership, career, employment, organizational, financial, productivity, retention, performance, or business result from using our programs or materials.
Results vary based on many factors, including the participant, organization, implementation, circumstances, and effort involved.
Testimonials and examples describe individual experiences and should not be interpreted as guarantees of future results.
24. Availability and Changes to Services
We may update, improve, replace, or discontinue website features, content, or services.
For free website content, we may generally make changes without notice.
For a paid product or service, we will not intentionally remove material access that was expressly promised as part of your purchase without providing an appropriate alternative or remedy where required.
Temporary outages may occur because of:
maintenance;
security incidents;
hosting issues;
service-provider outages;
software changes;
Internet disruptions; or
events outside our reasonable control.
25. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to an account or service if we reasonably determine that a user has:
materially violated these Terms;
failed to pay amounts legitimately due;
shared credentials without authorization;
infringed our intellectual property;
attempted to compromise website security;
engaged in fraud or unlawful conduct; or
used our products in a manner that materially harms About Leaders or other users.
When reasonable under the circumstances, we may provide notice and an opportunity to correct a violation before termination.
Serious security violations, fraud, unlawful activity, or intentional intellectual-property infringement may result in immediate suspension or termination.
Termination does not eliminate payment obligations already incurred.
26. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ABOUTLEADERS.COM AND GENERAL WEBSITE CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
THE WEBSITE WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE;
ACCESS WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE;

THE WEBSITE WILL BE FREE FROM EVERY SECURITY THREAT; OR
USE OF OUR MATERIALS WILL PRODUCE A PARTICULAR RESULT.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
THIS SECTION DOES NOT EXCLUDE WARRANTIES OR RIGHTS THAT CANNOT LEGALLY BE WAIVED.
27. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DR. MARY KAY, INC., ABOUT LEADERS, AND THEIR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO:
USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE WEBSITE;
RELIANCE ON GENERAL WEBSITE CONTENT;
UNAUTHORIZED USE OF AN ACCOUNT;
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES;
LOSS OF DATA;
LOST PROFITS;
BUSINESS INTERRUPTION; OR
OTHER LOSSES NOT DIRECTLY CAUSED BY ABOUT LEADERS.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ABOUT LEADERS' AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM A PAID PRODUCT OR SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID ABOUT LEADERS FOR THE PRODUCT OR SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM DURING THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY.
THESE LIMITATIONS DO NOT APPLY TO LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LEGALLY BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED.
Some jurisdictions provide consumer rights that cannot be waived by contract. Nothing in these Terms is intended to eliminate those rights.
28. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dr. Mary Kay, Inc., About Leaders, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising directly from your:
unlawful use of the website;
unauthorized redistribution of our intellectual property;
infringement of another party's rights;
intentional misuse of our systems; or
material breach of these Terms.
This provision does not require you to indemnify About Leaders for claims resulting from About Leaders' own unlawful conduct.
29. Privacy
Our collection and handling of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
Our use of cookies and similar technologies is described in our Cookie Policy.
Where applicable, cookie and privacy choices may be managed through the Privacy & Cookie Choices controls available on AboutLeaders.com.
30. International Users
About Leaders is based in the United States.
Our website may be accessible internationally, but availability of the website does not mean every product or service is offered or legally available in every jurisdiction.
If you access our website from outside the United States, you are responsible for complying with applicable local laws.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights that apply to you under the laws of your jurisdiction and cannot legally be waived.
31. Governing Law
Except where applicable mandatory law provides otherwise, these Terms and disputes arising from them will be governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
32. Venue
Except where applicable law requires otherwise, any legal action arising from or relating to these Terms, AboutLeaders.com, or a purchase from About Leaders will be brought in a state or federal court with appropriate jurisdiction in Arizona.
You and About Leaders consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking appropriate injunctive or equitable relief where legally permitted.
33. Force Majeure
About Leaders will not be responsible for failure or delay in performing an obligation where the failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include:
natural disasters;
severe weather;
fire;
war;
terrorism;
civil unrest;
labor disruptions;
governmental action;
public-health emergencies;
utility failures;
Internet or telecommunications outages;
transportation disruption;
platform outages; or
other events beyond our reasonable control.
This provision does not excuse payment obligations for services already provided and does not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.
34. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable where possible.
The remaining provisions will continue in effect.
35. No Waiver
Failure by About Leaders to enforce a provision of these Terms on one occasion does not waive our right to enforce that provision or another provision later.
36. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent.
About Leaders may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of substantially all relevant assets, or similar business transaction.
37. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any applicable:
Privacy Policy;
Cookie Policy;
Disclaimer;
product-specific terms;
checkout disclosures;
proposal;
order form;
statement of work; or
written service agreement,
constitute the applicable agreement between you and About Leaders regarding the subject matter they cover.
A separately signed agreement between About Leaders and an organizational customer will control if it expressly conflicts with these website Terms.
38. Order of Precedence
If terms conflict, the following order generally applies unless the applicable document states otherwise:
a signed agreement or statement of work;
an applicable proposal or order form;
product-specific or checkout terms;
these Terms and Conditions; and
general website descriptions.
Our Privacy Policy governs the handling of personal information regardless of this order of precedence.
